*room sweet room* - so far so gOOd

To write my blog in english!?!? okla -_-|||||, here go my 1st blog in english (please be cincai abit on my grammar and spelling errors har, if any :P).

It has been 1week since we moved out from YWCA hostel into our new room...hmm, we are doing fine and getting use to the new environment, I like most of the things here; however I also miss something in YWCA hostel. Well~~~ to find something that is perfect in all aspects is not always a possible mission and I guess we can’t be in a win-win situation every time, right >.<

Let’s start with the thing that I likey:
è  cheaper rental and nearer to our work place
è  wifi 24/7 : yes, yes, Oh YES!!!!!! during our stay at YWCA hostel, we can only online during the weekend at the city library (cos it’s free mar; hostel internet cost NZD2 for 30mins and only 1 PC available, no wifi) AND we have to walk about 1.5km to the library from hostel. Some more the library opening hour is only half day in the morning, timing always not ngam to meet and chat with some family & friends in Msia L
è  “free” laundry : hmm...at hostel, there is coin operated washing machine and it cost around $2-3 for 1 wash (30mins) and another $2-4 for dryer. In our new home, we have both washing machine & dryer too BUT we can just use it (cos rental oledi include water & electricity, however landlady do restrict usage of dryer la, so need to curi-curi use :p).
è  TV in the room : another YES!!!! at backpackers hostel, there is only ONE tv, thus most of the time we need to “chup” the tv even before our programme start by sitting in front and watch something :p
è  Fridge in the room (landlady say to save the problems and complains): ooh yeah~~~~ now we can buy anything we wan and no need to worry about the space in fridge, also no need susah payah put labels on all our “properties” so tat other won’t wrongly take ours (intentionally or unintentionally)
è  “private” kitchen : up to now i dun see any of our housemates cooking (even during weekend, though they do mess up the kitchen, weird huh!?); during weekday when we cook, the other housemates are not around also, syok lor the whole kitchen is ours and no need share share and squeeze squeeze in a tiny & smoky kitchen J
è  NO more “this cannot and that cannot” rules: in the hostel, they have a set of rules & regulations for all tenants which some I feel it’s very mafan lor (eg: after 1030pm is silent time, thus NO cooking allow!! alamak, perut lapar mao supper can only use microwave :p). Here, we not only can cook after work for supper, we can also watch midnight show (if any) with thumb rules that we respect the other housemates (as long as not to loud or “ping ping piang piang” can ady lo)

Despite soo many things I likey in the new environment, it’s not 100% perfect, there is a few things i miss about the hostel:
è  the clean kitchen : as there is no hard and fast rules here, everything goes by respect to other housemates and responsible as a tenant, BUT if ppl don’t follow, nothing much can be done also. the kitchen was in a mess the 1st day we moved in and no body tidy it up until the next morning. End up, me & chowchow clean up everything cos we really be tahan and no eyes see ady
è  the concrete and sound proof building : because of wooden house + maybe the next door housemate also very loud, every morning around 9am, i will be awake by the “ping ping piang piang” sound of the next door before she leaves the house to work!?
è  the continuous lukewarm water flow and “power” hot shower : at hostel, they use combined tap (just 1 tap for both hot/cold water) for kitchen & toilets , thus u just have to adjust to the middle and u can enjoy the nice lukewarm water ^^ our new place use separate tap, thus need to move hand left-right-left to manually have the lukewarm water (else, it will be super hot or cold L). and hor, the hot water need some time to “warm up”, which mean it will start with flowing cold water for about 1-2mins then only the hot water come; if i just wan to wash my hand, by the time the hot water started to flow out, i oledi finish washing pun lar >.<....and the water pressure for hot water is also LOWer!!! means when u switch to hot water, the water flow become smaller, it’s quite suffering when taking bath especially at this cold weather L
hmm…till date we are satisfy with most of the things of our new environment and still able to cope with those little “not so good” aspect. So, cincai lar, anyway we will not be here too long also lar :p
